Copyright Compliance for Your Classes

Whether you are teaching a new class or a routine one, please remember to maintain copyright compliance.

Did you know?

  • The library pays for the college’s annual academic license through the Copyright Clearance Center.

You can do your own searching here: https://rightfind.copyright.com/rs-ui-web/#journal

It’s easy! Search by:

  • ISBN
  • ISSN
  • Or match your title/author/publication year.

If you find what you need, just:

  • Report your usage to Conni Shaw clshaw@gcc.edu  and check for each future reuse if you use it on your own course management site.
  • List a citation and add this credit line “Reproduced with permission of Copyright Clearance Center’s Annual Academic License.”
  • Don’t forget the library maintains our own electronic reserve pages if you prefer us to post for you.

If your item is not covered, we can help you with the next steps in the permissions process and keep you updated.

We are here to help, just reach out. Best wishes for a smooth semester!

Spread the word about the Student Success Scavenger Hunt

We are excited to announce a new joint venture between Buhl Library, the Registrar, Academic Advising, and Career Services! It's called Student Success Scavenger Hunt and will invite students to visit all the aforementioned departments to find answers to the questions and uncover the hidden clues to have a chance to win coffee with President McNulty. Students can start the scavenger hunt by scanning the QR codes found in all of the departments involved in the event.

Please pass the word along to your students and we hope this will become an excellent resource to Grove City students!

New Faculty Publications

Associate Professor of English Jeff Bilbro served as the editor to the recently published The Liberating Arts: Why We Need Liberal Arts Education. The summary describes this as a collection in which, "educators mount a vigorous defense of the humanist tradition, but also chart a path forward, building on their tradition’s strengths and addressing its failures. In each chapter, dispatches from innovators describe concrete ways this is being put into practice, showing that the liberal arts are not only viable today, but vital to our future."
