What's the difference between statistics and data sets?

A data set is a collection of raw data, meaning that it has been gathered, but not analyzed.
- Think of a spreadsheet, with columns listing variables and each row is a person's response.
Statistics, on the other hand, consist of the findings that result from the analysis of data.
