A Note about Citing Electronic Resources

When citing digital information, keep in mind that there is a difference between web and electronic resources.

  • Web resources are freely available to anyone with an internet connection.

  • Electronic resources are available only to persons with a subscription to access the content.

    Example: To cite an Article from a database (such as JSTOR), see section 14.175, rather than 14.207 (which is for citing website content).
