The Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition

The 17th edition was published in September 2017 and copies are available at the Library and Writing Center.

During the transition, ask your professor if you should use 16th or 17th edition.

Here are just a few changes in the 17th edition:

  • E-mail will become email (no hyphen).
  • Internet will become internet (lowercased).
  • The use of ibid. for repeated citations will no longer be preferred.
