History 141 is an introduction to world geography.  In addition to learning the basic elements of geography and geographical facts concerning six of the world’s seven continents, students will also explore various themes of historical geography.  These topics will range from cartography to frontiers and colonies to urban planning.  Finally, students will study the mutual interaction of demographic, economic, political, social, and geographic factors in human history.
