I read it online so it has to be accurate, right?


False. Websites generally do not go through the same editing process that books and journal articles are subjected to, which means that evaluating each site you use for accuracy and reliability is incredibly important.


Valuable resources can be found online, right alongside sites  that are inaccurate and/or biased. Judging which is which is the challenge.
